College Crochet |
This is a blog about crochet by a 21-year-old college student. I will blog about my own projects from time to time, but I mostly re-blog things I find adorable, inspiring, or interesting. If you follow me, I'll follow back! |

Finding Nemo
It began with the pencil case and the gym bag soon followed. Of course you can use them for other purposes as well. The sea anemones are made of some microfibre material that is normally used for cleaning. At first I tried to crochet them too, but the results didn’t convince me. Then I came along that special sponge which was perfect.
Findet Nemo!

Happy Towel Day folks! Look, I made a towel to celebrate! I will be keeping it with me all day, naturally. (Also, I am wearing a Star Wars shirt because it is the franchise’s 35th birthday, double the geekery!)
The towel was made with Lion Brand’s Cottontail Dishtowels pattern using Knit Picks Dishie in Maps (the multi), Coffee, and Swan. Dishie is hands down the best cotton yarn I have ever used you guys.
Have a great one!
So I recently hit 50 followers!! :D :D :D To celebrate, I’d like to share my first Homestuck crochet plush with you all- Aranea! <3
I fell in love with this cerulean cutie the moment I saw her (just like Jakey, lols), and I knew I just had to make her! <3 I haven’t made many humanoid plushies before, so this was one of my first real attempts at yarn hair… and I think it came out pretty well! x3
She’s made of yarn, felt for the eyes, mouth, horns, and symbol, and white wire for the glasses. Her arms and legs are attached with doll joints, meaning they can rotate and be posed for extra adorability! :D The only detail missing is her Sufferer necklace, but I couldn’t find anything small enough to really make that with… (maybe I’ll try clay?)
Anyway, I had a lot of fun making her, and I’d love to make some more Homestucks!
….But who should the next one be? Hmm.

I wanted to let everyone know that I’m sorry I haven’t posted in quite a while. I’ve been caught up with school and work and battling fibromyalgia. It’s been a really long semester, but it’s finally over!
I’m about to fill up my queue and find more great crochet blogs to follow. Thanks so much to all my followers for staying with me! Especially my new followers!
Happy crocheting! :)
